The Leopards open the April portion of their 2025 campaign with a trip to Hamilton, N.Y. for a three-game Patriot League series vs. Colgate. Last Time Out
The Leopards faced off against Lehigh on March 29-30, dropping three games to the Mountain Hawks. The visitors took an early three-run lead in game one before Lafayette ripped off seven unanswered runs. Lehigh answered back with five more runs to retake the lead and capture the first game 8-7. In game two, the rivals traded runs yet again, with the score knotted up at four apiece after the third inning. Lehigh got the better of the Maroon and White, tallying three more runs in the sixth inning and solidifying the 7-5 decision. Sunday's series finale took extra innings to determine a winner, with sophomore Regan Dillon swatting a solo home run in the seventh inning to tie the contest at 2-2. After an eighth inning that ended with both teams scoring two runs in their respective frames, Lehigh had six players cross the plate to claim a 10-4 final.
MGO On the Go
With a steal against Lehigh, senior Mary Grace O'Neill tallied her 32nd career stolen base. The Pleasantville, N.Y. native currently occupies the fourth spot for career steals. O'Neill needs to swipe two more bags to move into third place all-time.
Dillon Dialed In
In the series against Lehigh, sophomore Regan Dillon batted .700 for the weekend, highlighted by a four-hit performance on March 29. In addition to seven hits, the Argyle, Texas native chipped in a home run, a double and two RBIs. For the season, Dillon owns a .280 batting average, third-highest on the team. Dillon has contributed three home runs, six RBIs and eight walks.
The Opponent
The Colgate Raiders are set to open their first homestand of the 2025 season. A five-game losing streak has the Raiders entering April at 10-22, 0-3. Colgate's last time out came on March 28-29, being swept by Patriot League front runner Boston University. The Raiders dropped 6-0 and 11-0 finals on Saturday before losing game three 7-5. The Raider offense relies on senior Quinn Livesay, with the catcher starting in all 32 games. Livesay claims a .381 average, while tallying 11 doubles, seven home runs and 20 RBIs. Junior Maya Servedio has been the reliable arm within the circle for the Raiders, starting in 18 of her 21 appearances with a 4.60 ERA and a 5-13 record.
