EASTON, Pa. – Senior
Michael Zarrillo had five RBIs, and juniors

Bode Grieve both collected three hits, as Lafayette baseball defeated St. Peter's, 22-11, on Wednesday at Kamine Stadium. This is the highest run total for the Leopards in a single game since Lafayette defeated Penn, 23-7, in 2005, and the first time that Lafayette has scored more than 20 runs since the Maroon and White defeated Bucknell, 20-9, in 2009.

Lafayette responded with nine runs in the bottom of the inning on three consecutive bases-loaded walks to tie the game. Grieve then laced an RBI-single to right field to give the Leopards the 4-3 lead. Lafayette scored five more runs on two two-run singles by freshman

St. Peter's countered with another solo run in the sixth, bringing the tally to 16-10. The Maroon and White scored six more runs in the bottom of the inning, coming on a Barrist RBI-double, a two-run single by Zarrillo, an error, a wild pitch and RBI-single by freshman
Liam Ebbs, making the score 22-10.
The Peacocks brought the score to 22-11 in the top of the seventh, and at that point, with runners on first and second and a 2-0 count on pinch hitter Brendon Wilson, the game was called after discussion between the umpiring crew and St. Peter's head coach.
Freshman
