EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette field hockey's
Raffi Fragomeni made eight saves, including a penalty stroke, to keep Drexel scoreless in a 2-0 Lafayette win on Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore
Laila Pasic scored her second career goal, assisted by Makenzie Swizter, to gain the initial advantage in the third period (37:03).
Two minutes later, Fragomeni confidently made her second penalty stroke save of the weekend against Drexel's Marti Sanabria.
Lauren Kurek gave the Leopards an insurance goal at 47:25 in the fourth quarter, securing the rebound off of a long drive into the circle by
Stella Malinowski.
Drexel held the advantage in total shots (15-6) and penalty corners (7-2).
Senior goalkeeper Fragomeni made a season-high eight saves in her second shutout of the season. Her Dragon counterpart, Halle Geiger, faced only two shots.
The Leopards (2-0, 0-0 PL) travel to Longwood on Friday at 3 p.m.
