EASTON, Pa. State - Lafayette used a sharp, relentless offensive line to shut out Dartmouth, 5-0, on Sunday afternoon at Rappolt Field. The Maroon and White improved to 7-3 overall with a 5-1 home record, amid a four-game win streak.
Neither team found the net through halftime, knotted at 0-0 as play was centered in the midfield outskirts.
Maddie Evans broke through at 32:36 (Q3), completing a tip that came from a blast outside the 25, courtesy of
Josephine van Wijk to lead 1-0.
The next two Lafayette goals were scored by freshman
Rosalie van Gool. Both taking place on penalty corner rebounds, the first was from a reverse chip (34:15) and the second a strong drive (37:15) for a 3-0 advantage.
Fourth-quarter play ensued with the Maroon and White adding two more goals. Freshman
Mia Freeman netted her first collegiate goal, assisted by
Lea Good, at 48:22.
Senior midfielder van Wijk got in on the action at 53:43.
Katie Gibb (inserter) and
Stella Malinowski (stick stop) allowed the Leopards a textbook corner execution for the 5-0 final score.
The hosts held the advantage in total shots (27-5) and penalty corners (7-1).
Lafayette's goalkeeper Fragomeni was left untested in her fifth shutout of 2025, though she played a key role in intercepting a handful of Dartmouth crosses. Her Big Green counterparts, Ava Carlson and Kylie Mckinley, made nine and four saves, respectively, as they shared the net.
Prior to the starting whistle this afternoon, the Leopards celebrated the careers of six graduating athletes: #5
