ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy extended its Patriot League-best win streak to eight on Saturday afternoon, taking down Lafayette in a 76-50 final. Six of the games in Navy's run of victories, including today, took place in Alumni Hall.
Christian Humphrey-Rembert led the Maroon and White's scoring effort with a team-high nine points and six rebounds. Aidan Kehoe led three Navy athletes in double figures with 23 points, tallying a perfect 10-of-10 from the floor despite his 3-for-14 performance at the line
The Midshipmen used four 3-pointers to take the opening lead, 18-2, at 13:16. Junior guard Jordan Pennick was credited with two of the deep buckets for the hosts.

Ryan Pettit (2) and
Mark Butler (4) combined for six points in the next six minutes, trailing 27-11 at the seven-minute mark.
Navy never looked back thereafter, holding Lafayette to 6-of-24 from the floor with two 3-pointers in the first half.The Mids' Kehoe paced the squad with 13 points to secure the 39-20 advantage at the break.
 In the second half, Humphrey-Rembert's 3-pointer at 18:26 stood alone to combat the 51-25 deficit at the 16-minute mark.
Despite a 10-1 Lafayette spurt to the two-minute mark, which began with a 3-pointer by
Folabomi Fayemi, the hosts continued to hover around a 25-point front, 72-48.
Navy remained out of reach the whole way, totaling 53 percent from the floor on 51 attempts overall. The Mids controlled the boards as well, grabbing 41 compared to Lafayette's total of 35.
The Leopards travel to Bucknell on Wednesday for a 7:30 tip-off in the doubleheader alongside women's basketball.
