EASTON, Pa. -- Phillip Peiffer and
Ethan Hosak each earned a place on the Football Championship Subdivision Athletic Directors Association (FCS ADA)
28th Annual Adademic All-Star Team announced on Tuesday.
Peiffer was one of the leaders of the Leopard defensive unit in 2025, starting all 12 games while racking up 32 tackles and five tackles for loss. The Frankfort, Ky. native adds the honor to his
Academic All-Patriot League selection from November. In the classroom, Peiffer majors in International Affairs and Spanish with a secondary concentration in Economics while maintaining a 3.94 cumulative grade-point average. He has achieved Dean's List status every semester and is a Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection. Peiffer is a member of the La Sociedad Nacional Honoraria Hispánica: Sigma Delta Pi; International Affairs Honor Society: Sigma Iota Rho, Phi Beta Kappa and Chi Alpha Sigma (national college athlete honor society).
Hosak was the Leopards' starting tight end in nine games, earning All-Patriot League Second-Team honors. He reeled in 15 catches for 169 yards, both career highs, for two touchdowns in 10 starts while also playing ia crucial role in the leopard running game churning out a 1000-yard rusher for the third-straight season. Academically, Hosak maintains a 3.42 GPA while majoring in Economics and earning Patriot League Academic Honor Roll status. Hosak and Peiffer helped guide Lafayette to an 8-4 record and a 6-1 mark in Patriot League play for second place in the standings (after being picked fifth).
To be one of the 57 selections, nominees were required to have a minimum grade-point average of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) in undergraduate or graduate study and have been a starter or key player with legitimate athletics credentials. They must have reached their second year of athletics and academic standing at the nominated institution and have completed a minimum of one full academic year at the nominated institution. They also must have participated in 50 percent of the games played at their designated position.
