EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette's Stella Malinowski and Lena Thedrian were added to the 13-member Academic All-Patriot League Team as the conference announced laurels on Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday, both players earned postseason honors on the All-Conference First Team. Thedrian was tabbed as the League's Defender of the Year. Malinowski, the 2023 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, was selected to the postseason squad for the third time while Thedrian collected honors for the second time.

Malinowski, an English major, was selected to the NFHCA Division I Watchlist and the Preseason All-Patriot League Team in addition to claiming one weekly conference laurel. The Vancouver, B.C. native recorded 13 points on six goals and one assist after starting in all 17 games this season. Malinowski additionally scored both of Lafayette's penalty stroke attempts.

Thedrian led a Lafayette backline that held opponents to 0.66 goals per game, the second-best mark in NCAA Division I, with her three defensive saves ranking tied for 15th in the nation. The two-time Patriot League Defender of the Week finished second in the Patriot League in goals (12), tied for first in game-winning goals (4) and fourth in points (27). She helped the Leopards limit league opponents to one goal in six matches to claim the program's first regular-season title since 2012. Thedrian is double-majoring in Psychology and Economics.

The Leopards participate in various community service activities with the team every year, such as Lafayette's National Girls and Women in Sports Day clinic, multiple field hockey youth clinics/camps and the Miracle League. Lafayette championed the following promotions during their 2026 home games through donation campaigns, social media pushes and campus outreach: Youth Day, Dream Crazy for Gretta, Pancreatic Cancer Awareness (PanCAN), Alzheimer's Awareness (Alzheimer's Association) and Heart Health Awareness (American Heart Association).

On Thursday at 12 p.m., the Maroon and White will face fourth-seeded Holy Cross in the semifinal round of the 2026 Patriot League Field Hockey Championship, held in Easton, Pa. at Rappolt Field.
