EASTON, Pa. - Three members of Lafayette women's basketball were chosen for the College Sport Communicators Academic All-District Team, announced on Tuesday. Junior Teresa Kiewiet and senior Sauda Ntaconayigize earned their second-straight selection, while junior Rosie Scoganmiglio was a first-time honoree.
Kiewiet, who advances as a CSC Academic All-America finalist, had a career year for the Maroon and White while holding a 4.0 cumulative GPA. Following the 2025-26 season, the engineering major was chosen as the Patriot League's Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as well as being named to the All-Patriot League Second Team. Kiewiet started all 28 games in which she appeared, tallying double-digit points in 26 contests. The Mankato, Minn. native collected five double-doubles and 457 points (eighth on Lafayette's single-season scoring list).Â
Ntaconayigize started in 25 games, averaging 9.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg and 1.3 apg in her senior campaign. She concluded her career in Easton as the most accurate three-point shooter in program history, with her program-record 38.8 percent from beyond the arc (surpassing Drew Freeland '21 at 37.9) to go alongside 147 triples (sixth all time). The psychology major maintained 3.7 cumulative GPA over four years.
Serving as a key bench piece, Scognamiglio saw action in 30 contests while making four starts. The Bradley Beach, N.J. native had her best season in Easton, averaging 3.3 ppg, 2.1 rpg and 0.9 apg. Against Colgate (3/4), Scognamiglio turned in an 11-point, three-steal effort in which she shot 4-6 from the field and 3-4 from downtown to help secure the sixth seed in the Patriot League Tournament. A government & law major, the junior guard claims a 3.7 GPA.
