EASTON, Pa. - Monica Hurd has been tabbed to fill Lafayette's Director of Football Operations role.
Hurd previously served as a football operations student assistant at Texas A&M University in 2025-26, while pursuing her master's degree at the school. Hurd supported daily football processes for the SEC program, assisting staff with administrative and logistical coordination, including game days, summer camp and pro day.
Prior to her time in College Station, Texas, Hurd served as a football operations intern at Lafayette in the summer of 2023 and had worked as the women's soccer team manager at the University of Virginia in 2021-22.
"We are excited to have Monica as our new Director of Football Operations. There are many areas of this job which will have a direct impact on our players, coaches, and program," said John Troxell, the Fred M. Kirby II '42 Head Football Coach. "Having been involved on the operations team at Texas A&M gives her the experience and expertise to bring an incredible amount of value to this position and our football program."
Hurd graduated from Virginia with distinction in 2024, securing a bachelor's degree in Sociology and a minor in Religious Studies before earning her Master's degree in Sports Management at Texas A&M.
The Leopards report for training camp on July 28 with their first practice scheduled for 8:45 a.m. the next day. Lafayette opens the 2026 season on the road against Georgetown on Aug. 27, the first of back-to-back away games. The home opener is set for Sept. 12 vs. Marist.
