EASTON, Pa. —
Brianna Sousa scored a 73rd-minute equalizer to help the Lafayette women's soccer team battle St. Joseph's to a 1-1 draw at Mike Bourger Field at Oaks Stadium on Sunday.
The Hawks opened the scoring in the 56th minute when Sarah Fisher found the back of the net unassisted. Lafayette responded later in the second half, evening the score in the 73
rd minute, 1-1, when
Emma Harmon set up Sousa for the game-tying goal.
Lafayette goalkeeper
Catherine Apker made five saves on six shots on goal across 90 minutes of action. St. Joseph's goalkeeper Peyton Radwanski recorded four saves on five shots on goal in a full 90-minute effort.
The Leopards pressured the Hawks late, earning four second-half corner kicks and outshooting St. Joseph's 5-4 in the final 45 minutes. Midfielder

Ava Murphy and defender
Brooke Commins each added a shot on goal. Midfielders
Era Methoxha and
Allie Loveless also created scoring opportunities during the second-half rally.
Defensively, Lafayette held St. Joseph's scoreless over the final 17 minutes, and the final score remained 1-1.
Lafayette will next take the road traveling to Cornell on Thursday at 7 p.m.
