Men’s Soccer Falls to Bryant 3-0 at Home

Leopards unable to overcome early deficit at Oaks Stadium

EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette men's soccer team was unable to overcome an early deficit on Saturday night, falling 3-0 to Bryant at Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium.

Bryant opened the scoring in the fourth minute on a goal from Nacho Garcia. The Bulldogs added another in the 30th minute when Brady Geho scored off an assist from Santiago de Prado to take a 2-0 lead.

Lafayette looked to find its footing before the break and generated a pair of chances in the opening half. Noah Amankulor forced Bryant goalkeeper Aimar Penalver into a save in the 21st minute, but the Leopards entered halftime still searching for their first goal.

The Bulldogs added to their lead early in the second half when de Prado found the back of the net in the 51st minute to make it a 3-0 match.

Despite the deficit, the Leopards continued to battle throughout the latter portion of the matchup. Lafayette earned four corner kicks in the second half and pushed forward late, including back-to-back corners in the final minutes, but was unable to break through.

Penalver earned the shutout for Bryant with two saves on two shots on target. Harrison Wolfrom faced 13 total shots on the other end, making four saves against seven shots on target.

The Leopards return home on Tuesday to face La Salle in their LEAD Council game at 7 p.m.
