EASTON, Pa. — Lafayette women's soccer battled Buffalo to a 0-0 draw on Thursday evening at Mike Bourger '44 Field at Oaks Stadium.
In the first ever meeting between the two programs, Lafayette withstood a heavy offensive attack from the Bulls, who generated 16 total shots during the match. Goalkeeper
Catherine Apker anchored the defense for the Leopards, recording eight saves across 90 minutes of action to earn the clean sheet.
Buffalo pushed the tempo early, registering six shots in the opening period. Lafayette responded with chances from forward

Allie Loveless. Murphy took the Leopards' lone shot on goal in the 18th minute, but Buffalo goalkeeper Lexie Thompson made the save.
The Bulls increased their pressure in the second half, sending 10 shots toward the net and earning four corner kicks. Apker remained sharp between the posts, collecting five second-half saves to keep Buffalo off the board, and the match ended in a 0-0 tie.
Lafayette will return to action traveling to Colgate on Sept. 19 at 5 p.m. for the Patriot League opener.
