EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - For the second time in three years, Lafayette College will host the Patriot League Men's Soccer Tournament. The event, which features Lafayette, Bucknell, Holy Cross and Lehigh, will be played Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 11-12, at Metzgar Fields in Forks Township.
The top-seeded Leopards will face No. 4 seed Holy Cross at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in the second of two semifinal matches. The contest follows the Bucknell (No. 2) vs. Lehigh (No. 3) semifinal at 11:00 a.m.
The two semifinal winners will battle for the Patriot League Tournament championship and an accompanying automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament in the finals on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
History bodes well for the Leopards who have won four Patriot League Tournament championships since the conference's inception in 1990 and have been victorious in the last two.
Tickets for the Patriot League Tournament are $3 for adults and $1 for students and can be purchased at the gate.
