'Pards Win Battle at Army

WEST POINT, NY - Lafayette exploded for a 30-5 run to start the second half and easily cruised to a Patriot League win at Army. The Cadets were coming off two three-point games, a win over Colgate and a loss to Bucknell.

Senior Brian Ehlers keyed the Leopards' win with a game-high 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field. Also scoring in double figures were Tyson Whitfield with 13 points, and both Stefan Ciocisi and Frank Barr with 10 points.

In Lafayette's (11-5, 3-0 Patriot League) 30-5 to open the second half, five Leopards scored, led by 11 points on three three-pointers from Whitfield. In the second half, Lafayette shot an amazing 67.9 percent from the field and 77.8 percent from three-point range.

Army (3-14, 1-3 Patriot League) was led by Chris Spatola's 22 points, while Charles Woodruff added 17 points off the bench.

The Leopards return home on Wednesday, January 26, to host arch rival Lehigh at 8:00 p.m.
