The Streak Continues as the Leopards take game Five

Sept. 17, 1999

NEW YORK, NY - --The Leopards extended their early season win streak to five games, as they travelled to New York City and defeated host Columbia 3-2.

Lafayette scored all three of its goals in the first half, and hung on in the second half as the hosts came storming back. Kim Stone (Newtown, PA/The George School), Olivia Long (Jenkintown, PA/Jenkintown) and Kellee Salber (Hatboro, PA/Upper Moreland) each scored one goal. Long assisted on another, and defender Carrie Damico (North Wales, PA/North Penn) also had an assist.

Goaltender Amy Cohen (Linwood, NJ/Mainland Regional) remained strong in net, in her greatest challenge to date. She stopped 14 shots, pushing her save percentage to .868 on the season.

Lafayette faces perhaps its toughest opponent in the young season on Sunday when Rutgers invades at 1:00 p.m
