Senior Jodi Bruder (Springfield, NJ/Jonathan Dayton) claimed
first places in the long jump and 100 meters to lead Lafayette to a second
place finish in a quad track meet held at Fisher Field on Saturday.
Bruder's 17'4 1/2" was the winning mark by nearly an inch in the long jump
and her 12.71 put her ahead of the rest of the field by .2 in the 100 meters.
Freshman Kim Miller (Portland, OR/Jesuit) captured a first place in the
pole vault with a winning effort of 11'0". Senior Rhonda Snyder
(Plainville, CT/Plainville) was responsible for the other other first place
finish for Lafayette. Snyder was victorious in the hammer throw with a
throw of 171'5". Snyder also placed second in the discus (111'1") and third
in the javelin (80'10 1/4").
Freshman Jacyln Bingham (Luneberg, MA/Luneberg) claimed the javelin title
with a throw of 115'6". Bingham also finished fourth in the discus (6310
1/2").
As a team, Lafayette (99) finished second behind only Monmouth (105) and
ahead of St. Joseph's (48) and Fairleigh Dickinson (14).
