BETHLEHEM, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette freshman Meghan Sweeney (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) scored in the 83rd minute off an assist from junior Emily Myers (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) to lead the Leopards' women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory at Lehigh.

The victory improves Lafayette's record to 10-4 overall and 3-1 in the Patriot League.

Lafayette junior keeper Ashley Wesmiller (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) was solid in the Leopards' goal, making six saves in earning her second shut out of the season.

With the assist, Myers improves her season point total to 26, with 11 goals and four assists.

Lafayette held a slight advantage in shots at 16-14.

The Leopards return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 24, traveling to Hamilton, N.Y. to face Colgate at 5 p.m.
