Women's Track 10th at Virginia Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (www.lafayette.edu) - Beth Loretz (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) and Ambyr Craw (North Caldwell, N.J./West Essex) both collected fourth-place finishes to highlight a 10th place team finish at the Lou Onesty/Milton G. Abramson Invitational on Saturday at the University of Virginia.

Loretz took home fourth place in the high jump with a leap of 5'4", while Craw's fourth-best finish came in the pole vault with a vault of 10'6"

In the 800 meters Anna Sherman (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex) placed sixth in a time of 2:16.13. Jennifer White (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) also managed a sixth place finish, hers coming in the 100 hurdles in 15:68. In the 400 hurdles, Katie O'Connor (Wrentham, Mass./King Phillip) crossed the line sixth in 1:06.87.

In the distance events, Jenna Cece (Williamstown, Mass./Mt. Greylock) was the only Leopard to finish in the points. Cece notched a seventh place in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 12:37.79.

Jackie Bingham (Lunenburg, Mass./Lunenburg) was the only Lafayette competitor to place in the throwing events. She finished sixth in the hammer with a throw of 139'6".

The Leopards return home for the Lafayette Invitational on Saturday at Fisher Field.
