Women's Track Loses By Eight Points

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lehigh notched an eight-point win over Lafayette in the Lafayette-Lehigh Dual track and field meet on Saturday at Fisher Field.

Rhonda Snyder (Plainville, Conn./Plainville) took home two individual titles to lead the Leopards. Snyder won the discus with a throw of 118' 7 1/2" and the hammer throw with a hurl of 169'10". Snyder also finished in third place in the shot put with a 39' 9 3/4" effort.

Lauren McHale (Seaville, N.J./Ocean City) was strong in the middle distance events for Lafayette, winning the 800 meters (2:21.9) and 1500 meters (4:50.3).

Freshman Olivia Tusinski (Bernardston, Mass./Pioneer Valley) and junior Ambyr Craw (North Caldwell, N.J./West Essex) took the top two spots in the pole vault, each with 10'6" efforts. Craw also finished second in the 100 meters (12.7) and fourth in the 100 hurdles (15.8).

Colleen Becker (Rockville Center, N.Y./Scared Heart Academy) won the triple jump with a leap of 35'4 3/4". She also finished fourth in the long jump (14'8").

The Lafayette track and field team returns to action on April 14, competing in the University of Virginia Invitational and the Millersville Decathlon.
