ORONO, Maine (www.lafayette.edu) - Emily Myers (Hershey, Pa. Hershey) scored her second goal of the game 19 seconds into overtime to give the Lafayette women's soccer team a 2-1 victory over Manhattan (0-2) on Sunday. The second-round win in the University of Maine Black Bear Invitational improved the Leopards' record to 2-0.

Myers gave the Leopards an early lead, breaking in alone against Manhattan keeper Jeanne Marie Gilbert at 4:20. Manhattan tied the game at 28:27 in the first half. Tina Beatty redirected a Vanessa DiPaolo shot to put the score at 1-1.

The game remained tied through the second half. However, just 19 seconds into overtime, Myers took a pass from freshman Emily Kellner (Garnerville, N.Y./North Rockland) and beat the Manhattan keeper with a shot in front of the goal. The tally was Myers' third of the season.

The Leopards outshot Manhattan 9-6 for the game. Sophomore Marissa Mullins (Wall, N.J./Wall Township) stopped four shots in goal for the Leopards for her first win of the season.

The Leopards (2-0) travel to Staten Island on Wednesday to face Wagner.
