Lafayette head coach Frank Tavani
"Certainly, pleased to get a victory at home for homecoming and another league win. We wanted to come out and play the game for four quarters. We started out that way, but I think in the second half, we may have played back a little bit. We got a little conservative offensively with the lead."
"We control our own destiny, we know that. Next week at this time there will only be one team in the Patriot League with an unblemished record and we fully believe that will be us. We know what we have ahead of us. We have three very difficult road games. Three of the toughest places you could go play, and we've got them right in a row. At this time of the season we're sitting right where we want to be, in control of our own destiny."
"We said we wanted to go out and play like a champion today. We're on a mission now. We know we have a shot. It's week-to-week no matter who the opponent is. You have to line up and play. We just went out and I said the same thing at halftime as I said at the beginning of the game, go out and play like a champion."
Lafayette quarterback Marko Glavic
"We have a lot of plays that cause problems for the defense. In the second half, maybe we did play a little conservative. The bottom line is that we got the win. A win is a win, we'll take it."
Lafayette linebacker Chris Partridge
"To tell you the truth, I didn't even know it was homecoming. It was just a home game to me and we needed to go out and get a league win. I don't think homecoming has anything to do with it. We're trying to win the league and that's the big picture. We had fans out there. We just wanted to come out and play our game. We didn't even want to think about who we were playing. We just wanted to take it to them."
"We just wanted to get off to a good start. We really worked on it all week. We needed to get off to a good start and fly around right at the beginning. We seem to play a better game in the second half, lately. We're going to learn how to play four quarters with 11 guys flying around the ball. That's going to make us a real dangerous team."
Lafayette offensive lineman Chris Royle
"You just have to come to the line and set up for either one. You may have to change your stance a little bit or adjust. Most of the guys are pretty experienced. All of them are starters who have played at least nine or 10 games starting. We're pretty used to it."
Lafayette wide receiver John Weyrauch
"Any time you catch the first play of the game, you kind of get a sense of if it's going to be a good day. Like coach said, we're just trying to keep it balanced too, with the run and the pass. Any time I can catch the ball, I'm looking forward to it."
Georgetown head coach Bob Benson
"We felt pretty confident all week and we still feel confident right now sitting here that our team is getting better, we're making improvements and we did some good things. We're a little inconsistent in areas of our game, but we start off a little slow. The turnover before the half was a killer, the missed field goal, that hurt us. It's a game of momentum and we needed to do a better job of that."
