HOMESTEAD, Fla. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette baseball team closed out its spring training trip to Florida with a 5-1 win over Harvard on Friday in the Homestead Challenge.

The Leopards (8-9) got a strong offensive day from the middle of the lineup. No. 5 hitter Craig Alexander had three hits, including two doubles. Cleanup hitter Vince D'Angelis collected two hits, one of them the home run variety.

Marcus Ward (2-1) threw his second complete game of the season and earned the win in the process.

Lafayette returns to action on Wednesday at Drexel at 3 p.m.
