Women's Lacrosse Drops Game To Temple

PHILADELPHIA (www.lafayette.edu) - Temple notched its second straight win with a 13-6 victory over Lafayette in women's lacrosse action in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

The Leopards struck first for a 1-0 lead early in the first half, but it was all Temple from then on as the Owls took an 8-3 lead into halftime.

Temple (4-3) outscored Lafayette 5-3 in the second half for the non-conference win.

Sophomore Fallon Cunningham led Lafayette with two goals while Jennifer Stone, Erin Gallagher, Stephanie Tinney and Kim Maron each added a goal apiece.

Senior goalie Leela Strong recorded 14 saves between the pipes for Lafayette.

The Leopards (5-5) return to action on Saturday as they host league foe Villanova at 1 p.m. Lafayette and Villanova represent the only two teams in the Patriot League with an undefeated record in league play.
