Lafayette Men's Basketball To Appear On DIRECTV Friday Night

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The first of six Patriot League men's basketball regular-season games this season to be broadcast to a national audience on DIRECTV will pit long-time rivals Lafayette at Lehigh Friday, Jan. 24, at 9 p.m. All Patriot League games are available via DIRECTV on channel 611 and the Lafayette-Lehigh contest will also be aired live on WFMZ-69 of Allentown.

The 2002-03 Lafayette men's and women's basketball seasons will see a Patriot League-best 21 contests hit the television airwaves via the Lafayette Sports Network and the Patriot League television package.

The Patriot League will produce 11 games this year, all broadcast live by DIRECTV, including six regular-season games on consecutive Friday nights at 9 p.m. The other five games include four League Tournament men's and women's semifinals on Sunday, March 9 (beginning at noon) and the Women's Championship game on Wednesday, March 12, at 7 p.m.

The broadcast team will include Jack Corrigan handling play-by-play and John Feinstein, best-selling author of The Last Amateurs, serving as the color analyst. The color analyst for the three women's playoff games will be veteran announcer Jody Lavin Patrick.
