STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette's women's soccer team earned its second draw in three outings this season, playing to a 1-1 tie with Wagner on Wednesday night.
Lafayette senior forward Kerrie Kiley (Greenlawn, N.Y./St. Anthony's) scored her first goal of the season off an assist from freshman Trista Burke (Brookhaven, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) just 5:25 into the contest to give the Leopards the early advantage. Kiley's goal held up until the 73:40 mark when Jennifer Spadafino netted the equalizer for Wagner.
Marissa Mullins (Wall, N.J./Wall Twp.) was outstanding in goal for the Leopards, making 14 saves, including three in the overtime sessions.
The Leopards' two draws already equal a school record for draws in a season. Lafayette earned a pair of ties in both the 1994 and 1997 seasons.
Lafayette returns to action on Saturday, traveling to Penn for a 1 p.m. match.
