EASTON, Pa. (AP) - Alex Breaux caught the go-ahead touchdown pass from Liam O'Hagan in the third quarter to lead Harvard to a 24-17 victory over Lafayette on Saturday.
O'Hagan threw three touchdown passes, including two to Kelly Widman in the first half to give Harvard (3-2) a 14-0 lead at the break. His third, the 20-yarder to Breaux with 1:28 to go in the third quarter, put the Crimson up for good and spoiled the Leopards' homecoming.
Lafayette (5-2) stormed back to tie the game at 14 in the second half with a pair of touchdown passes from backup quarterback Pat Davis, including an 83-yarder to Joe Ort on the Leopards' first possession of the half.
Rick Ziska booted a 34-yard field goal to make it 21-17, but Matt Schindel added a 29-yard field goal with 2:57 to go in the game for the final margin.
O'Hagan finished 17-for-30 for 207 yards and Clifton Dawson ran for 100 yards to pace the Crimson.
Davis completed 16 of 34 passes for 263 yards and also threw a touchdown pass to Shaun Adair after replacing ineffective starter Brad Maurer.
Maurer was 4-of-14 for 63 yards before leaving the game. He was also Lafayette's leading rusher with 24 yards on the ground.
