PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) -- J.R. Inman scored a career-high 26 points and added nine rebounds to lead Rutgers to a 90-79 win over Lafayette on Wednesday night. Corey Chandler came off the bench to score a career-high 19 points and Mike Coburn added 15 for the Scarlet Knights (6-2), who won for the third time in four games. Andrew Brown had 17 points and Everest Schmidt added 14 for the Leopards (5-3), who had won four straight.

Lafayette appeared to be in command when they went on an 11-0 run that spanned the end of the first half and the start of the second half and gave them a 43-42 lead. Rutgers, though, responded with a 9-0 run of its own to take the lead for good, and Lafayette would not get closer than seven points for the rest of the game.

Lafayette, which entered the game fourth in the nation with nearly 11 3-pointers per game, was 10-for-23 from beyond the arc. Rutgers, which averaged just 4.3 3-pointers and was shooting just 25.6 percent from that range, finished 11-for-25.
