EASTON, Pa. - Sophomore free safety Nick Oliver was selected as the Patriot League's Defensive Player of the Week after tallying a career-high 12 tackles, 3.5 of which were for a loss.
Oliver's dozen tackles tied him for the team lead in the Leopards' 20-14 loss to Princeton on Saturday. He also registered his first career sack on Tigers' quarterback Bill Foran.
Oliver is the third player to receive Player of the Week honors this season. Junior Shaun Adair and freshman Davis Rodriguez have both been selected as Patriot League Special Teams Players of the Week for the weeks of Sept. 4 and Sept. 17, respectively.
The Leopards (3-1) will return to action on Oct. 6 when they host Columbia at Fisher Stadium at 6 p.m.
