Former Lafayette Standout Finishes Season With Buffalo Bills

Jan. 7, 2008

EASTON, Pa. - Blake Costanzo '06 made two tackles in the Buffalo Bills' final game of the 2007 season against the Philadelphia Eagles. He played on special teams in the final three games of the season, recording a total of six solo tackles.

The 6-2, 235-lb. linebacker signed with the Bills as a free agent on Oct. 24, 2007 and began working his way through the ranks as a practice player. Costanzo was promoted to the Bills 53-man roster on Dec. 14, 2007. He made his first appearance against the Cleveland Browns, where he made one tackle in his NFL debut.

"It was honestly like a dream come true," Costanzo says of his experience. "I felt like a little kid playing football for the first time. That's how the game should be played."

Costanzo is enjoying his off-season in his native Franklin Lakes, N.J. before returning to Buffalo for training camp.
