Senior Plumby Named to 2008 Hampshire Society

April 17, 2008

EASTON, Pa. - Senior linebacker Mark Plumby (Wheeling, W.V./Linsly) was inducted into the 2008 Hampshire Honor Society by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.

The team is comprised of graduating seniors from schools across the country who were starters or key reserves and maintained a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20.

Plumby holds a 3.48 cumulative GPA as an Economics & Business major. He has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll two years in a row and was the only Lafayette junior to receive that honor in 2006. After graduation, he is planning on attending optometry school.

The strong side linebacker racked up 50 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 2007, while also recovering two fumbles. He started every game his junior and senior year for the Leopards.

Plumby was one of seven Patriot League student-athletes to receive the honor from the National Football Foundation.
