EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette football continued pre-season camp on Monday only to end early once again due inclement to weather. During their morning session, the Leopards continued to focus on familiarizing themselves with the playbook and play terminology. The team covered a lot of ground despite practice being cut short. Players also went through various position drills with coaches taking the time to break down technique and position responsibilities.

Coach Tavani also had his team work on special teams with place kickers and punters getting extensive practice. This further allowed the coaches to work with return specialists and long snappers.

There was much excitement during a passing skeleton drill in which defensive backs took on wide receivers for a 7-on-7 scrimmage. Lafayette quarterbacks, led by junior Rob Curley, connected deep with Leopard wideouts on several occasions, resulting in cheers from coaches and teammates alike.

Lafayette continues tomorrow with team meetings in the morning followed by practice at 1:30 p.m.

All practices are open to the public. For more information on Lafayette football, please visit GoLeopards.com
