EASTON, Pa. - On Wednesday, 30 freshmen reported to campus for the start of football preseason camp. The Class of 2012 underwent impact testing through Lafayette Sports Medicine and an equipment check. Day one concluded with a team meeting with head coach Frank Tavani and was then followed by positional meetings in the Bourger Football Varsity House.

Upperclassmen reported to camp on Thursday morning. The freshman got their first taste of college football with a helmets only practice in the morning in the intense heat at Fisher Stadium. The freshmen took part in a series of positional drills before running through offensive and defensive schemes.

The practice came to a close with head strength and conditioning coach Brad Potts putting the freshmen through a conditioning workout. They were required to sprint the outskirts of the field in an attempt to complete the sprint in less than a minute.

On Thursday night, the team will have a meeting in preparation for the team's first full practice on Friday at 1:30 p.m. The first full contact practice will be on Tuesday, Aug. 12. All practices are open to the public. Team snack times are not.
