PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Junior co-captain Seamas McGuire posted yet another solid performance in the Lafayette track and field team's most recent outing at the Penn Relays. One week after qualifying for the NCAA Eastern Regional, McGuire placed second in the javelin with a personal best of 205' 8."

McGuire finished ahead of competitors from Navy, Lehigh, Texas, Penn State, Florida State, LSU, Michigan and Duke in the event.

Joining McGuire at the Penn Relays as the only other Leopard male student-athlete was Ryan Stasiowski, who finished 13th in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 9:31.25.

Vicky Melroy performed in the hammer throw and placed 14th (152'1"). Jessica Buzzell and Kerriann Borke both competed in the long jump.

The Leopards head to the Patriot League Championships in West Point, N.Y. on Friday.
