LEWISBURG, Pa. – Track and field spent the weekend at the Dr. Sander Scorcher on Friday and Saturday in New York City and the Gulden Invitational at Bucknell on Saturday.
At the Gulden Invitational, junior Alexander Caba secured No. 7 all-time at Lafayette in the 400 meters with a time of 49.56, capturing first place. Freshman Justice Larkin tied for No. 10 all-time in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing in 8.59 for sixth.
Sophomore Kaseme Leckie claimed fifth in the 60 meters with a final time of 6.94. Freshman Tegan Kovacs enjoyed second place in the 800 meters, crossing the finish line at 1:58.26. Classmate Hunter Parsons garnered third in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:32.74. Freshmen Baker Pott and Ethan Buck collected eighth in the 1000 meters (2:35.43) and 3000 meters (9:11.10), respectively.
In the field, senior Benjamin Hill took home fourth in the pole vault, vaulting 14' 11.25".
Junior Ivan Tejada finished sixth in the shot put with a 51' 1.75" put.
For the women, freshman Kennedy Miller reeled in third in the shot put, putting 41' 1". Classmate Ava Reese placed ninth and 10th in the weight throw (46' 5") and shot put (38' 7").
Freshman Sophia Agner jumped 5' 1" in the high jump for a seventh-place finish.
Sophomores Jamie Gorman and Alivia Bear claimed eighth and seventh in the 800 meters (2:23.71) and 3000 meters (10:41.90), respectively. Senior Elizabeth Borah snagged seventh in the mile with a final time of 5:12.03.
At the Dr. Sander Scorcher, senior Elena Malone took home fourth in the 800 meters, finishing with a time of 2:17.42.
Senior Quinn Worrell collected 11th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.49. Classmates Roman Conca and J.P. Pfisterer placed 17th (50.18) and 19th (50.23) in the 400 meters. Junior John Liedtka earned 11th in the 60-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line at 8.31.
Next up, the Maroon and White will take on Lehigh for the first Lafayette-Lehigh Dual of the season on Jan. 31 at 2 p.m.
