EASTON, Pa. – Junior Niko Williams from the track and field team has earned a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Team announced Wednesday afternoon.
Williams majors in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Economics. The Clarks Summit, Pa. native maintains a 4.0 GPA and has made the Dean's List every semester while also achieving Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recognition.
The junior is an Athletic Department Peer Mentor, providing guidance and support to first year student-athletes, as well as a first-year member of the Oaks Leadership Academy. Williams works at the Tech Clinic as a part of a team of students and faculty working on renovating and repurposing a Revolutionary War era structure.
Williams claimed the win in the discus and placed third in the javelin to help secure the men's team victory vs. Lehigh for the first time in an outdoor dual meet since 2019.
At the Patriot League Championships, Williams scored in the discus throw with a seventh-place finish and a 150' 11" final throw. He also claimed eighth in the javelin, throwing 198' 11" and scoring points for the Leopards.
