JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Lafayette women's soccer team outshot Saint Peter's 17-14, but the two teams saw a defensive struggle come to a close after 110 minutes of scoreless soccer on Tuesday evening.

In a physical battle that saw three yellow cards, the Leopards had numerous opportunities, finishing with eight shots on goal, including numerous chances that barely missed the back of the net.

Freshman goalkeeper Lauren Smedley recorded nine saves on the evening for Lafayette.

Lafayette will have a few days to regroup after tonight's third game in six days. The Leopards will travel to NJIT on Friday night. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. in Newark, N.J.
