Twenty-two members of the Lafayette men's and women's cross country teams were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll on Thursday morning. Freshman Alexandra VonArx, an English major, led the group with a 3.85 grade-point average (GPA).
Four seniors were recognized by the league: Matthew DeBlander (Civil Engineering, 3.68), Rose Kennedy (Religious Studies, 3.47), Kerry Taylor (Biology, 3.42) and Stephanie Westerman (International Affairs, 3.40). Lauren Holck led the way for the five juniors with a 3.82 in English. Three junior student-athletes finished with a 3.67: Margaret Bruno-Metzgar (Art), Colin McCullough (Chemistry) and Tracey Kelly (Math/Economics). Ryan Stasiowski ended with a 3.40 in Civil Engineering.
Two sophomore Civil Engineering majors were honored: Josh Sadlock (3.62) and Matt Keehn (3.46). There were also two Economics and Business majors, Matt Piazza (3.27) and Lauren Kelly (3.22). Erin Mee, an English major, finished with a 3.56, while Erika Stasakova (Gov. Law and Foreign Studies) led the way for the group with a 3.75 GPA.
The freshman class finished with the most student-athletes honored. Devin Gross, Chemical Engineering, and Kelly Callahan, undeclared, both finished with 3.42 GPA's. Dayne Mosconi, an undeclared Engineering major, ended his first semester with a 3.35, while Kara Falvey (Biochemistry) finished with 3.32 GPA. Rounding out the group were Julissa Muschlitz (Economics and Business) and Chris Parker (Biology) with a 3.25.
