KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Leopards split their second day of games at the Rebel Spring Games on Tuesday. Lafayette fell to Manhattan 6-2 early in the morning but bounced back and won their second game against Hartford 8-5.
The split games give the Maroon and White a 3-5 record.
In the first game, it took four innings for the Leopards to get on the board. Freshman Jordan Parsons hit a sacrifice fly that brought home Stacey Kushner. Following was Cody Kugler who allowed Kerry Griffin to score Lafayette's second run.
Senior Kasey Karr took the loss after pitching 1.2 innings, giving up eight hits and allowing six runs. Christine Hilcken relieved Karr and pitched 5.1 innings giving up no hits and striking out four.
