Larry Ellis Final Results 
The Lafayette track and field team competed in three different events this past weekend. Stephanie Hazlett participated in the Kutztown University heptathlon, while several teammates went to Princeton for the Larry Ellis Invitational and others traveled to Moravian for the Greyhound Invitational.
Hazlett set a new personal best record of 4,057 points (best score by 300 points) in the heptathlon and finished third overall. The sophomore set personal bests in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.29 and in the high jump at 4'11.75"
At the Larry Ellis Invitational held at Princeton senior Kerry Taylor broke her own school record in the 3000m steeplechase. Taylor ran 11:18.17, a record by one second, and finished 21st. In a highly competitive field which included athletes from Georgetown, Villanova and Syracuse, four other Leopards set personal bests.
Sean Casey ran 1:53.64 in the 800m to place 20th, Margaret Bruno-Metzger ran 4:34.56 in the 1500m and placed 14th, Lauren Kelly (18:04.85) and Rose Kennedy (18:21.16) both ran personal bests in the 5000m run.
At the Greyhound Invitational at Moravian College, the men's team posted several stand out performances. Seamas McGuire won the javelin on his last throw. His 211' 1" mark was just six inches off his personal best.
The 4 x 100m relay team of Bradley Williams, Adam Ballester, Nick DeRosa and Kyle Clayton finished second with a time of 41.38.
Senior Sifiso Takirambudde also had a runner-up finish in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.02, while Chris Parker ran a personal best in the 800m (1:55.58) to finish fourth.
The Leopards had six other fourth-place finishes: Clayton in the long jump (23' 6 ¾") and the 100m (11.01), Ballester in the 200m (22.60), Williams in the triple jump (46' 11") and sophomores Nick Henderson and Michael Thompson in the pole vault (13' 11.25"). Freshman Will Volkmann had a personal best in the 5000m (15:41.29) to finish fifth.
On the women's side, Kelly Clyde led the way for the Leopards on the track. Clyde was second in the 200m (26.41), third in the 100m (12.79) and ran the anchor leg on the 4 x 100m relay (49.30) that finished third. Other members of the relay were Megan Matusky, Jill Dozier and Kyara Gray.
Gray also added a fourth-place finish in the 400m, clocking in at 58.64. Freshman Julissa Muschlitz ran a personal best in the 1500m (4:56.11) to earn third.
The Leopards also posted four top six performances in the throws as Alana Taylor placed fifth in the javelin at 126' 5" with teammate Allison Tether sixth with a throw of 121' 7". Senior Liz Graybill was sixth in the hammer at 148' while Kelsey Slater placed sixth in the discus at 122' 4".
The Leopards travel to Bethlehem on Saturday for the Lehigh Invitational, a day-long event.
