EASTON, Pa. - The Leopards' suffered team losses on both the men's & women's side against rival Lehigh on Sunday, each had several outstanding performances.
For the women, sophomore Gwen Steckel qualified for the ECAC Championships in the discus with a seven foot personal best of 141' 0". Senior Kerriann Borke won the triple jump in a personal best of 38' 6 3/4".
Senior Kelly Clyde won the 100m in 12.46 while freshmen Elise Buffinton and Alexandra Hunsberger both won their specialties. Buffinton won the pole vault with a jump of 11' 1 3/4" and Hunsberger won the javelin at 131' 2".
The 4x400m relay team of Megan Matusky, Chelsea Marone, Kathryn White and Kelly Senters were the other winners for the Leopards, posting a time of 4:00.86.
On the men's side, there were several multiple winners. Senior Matt Crystal won the hammer throw at 163' 10" and the discus at 152' 6". The discus was a three foot personal best for Crystal.
Junior Jerome Rudolph won the 100m at 10.75 and anchored the winning 4x100m. The relay which was comprised of David Robinson, Nick DeRosa, Nick Hepp and Rudolph bettered their League leading time running 41.29.
DeRosa also won the 200m in 21.85 and ran a leg on the winning 4x400m relay which ran 3:22.02. Other members included Ryan McVeigh, Hepp, and Chris Parker.
McVeigh and Hepp also posted individual victories in the 400m hurdles (55.73) and the 400m dash (48.63). Hepp's time was a personal best by over one second.
Ryan Stasiowski posted the Leopard's other victory, by winning his specialty, the 3000m Steeplechase, with a time of 9:23.42.
The Leopards will head to Lehigh for the Greyhound Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
