Men's 100 Meter Dash Results Get Acrobat Reader

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Senior sprinter Jerome Rudolph competed in the NCAA East Preliminary Round of the 100 meter dash on Thursday evening hosted by the University of North Florida at Hodges Stadium.

Rudolph, who holds the Lafayette school record in the event, ran in the first heat and finished seventh after crossing the line in 10.74 seconds. The top three finishers in each of the six heats, plus the nine fastest times advanced to the next round. Overall, Rudolph placed 39th among the 48 runners.

Florida State senior Maurice Mitchell claimed the fastest time of the night, clocking in at 10.17 seconds. On Saturday, sophomore Rachel Pena will compete in the women's hammer throw at 2 p.m.
