The first game was a pitcher's duel, as all of the offense for both teams came in the first inning. The host Seahawks used an Abigail Beasley (2-for-2) double and Megan Moore's sacrifice fly to score a pair of runs that held up throughout.

The Leopards and starter Kaitlin Perrine eluded a Wagner rally in the fourth. The Seahawks loaded the bases with two outs, but Perrine was able to get the final out on a groundball up the middle.

Just five Lafayette hitters reached base as the Leopard lineup managed three hits off Wagner starter Judy Betz who struck out four in the win. Perrine (0-5) walked eight and struck out one while allowing two runs on 10 hits in the loss.

In the second game, the bottom of the first again proved to be decisive as Wagner pounded out four runs. Brenda Bott, who was 5-for-7 in the doubleheader, doubled home a run and Beth Lewis singled home two more for the 4-0 advantage.

The Leopards had their best scoring chance in the top of the next inning. With one out in the inning, Jordan Parsons singled. Allison Thomas reached on error and Madeline Allen loaded the bases with a two-out single. Wagner starter Olivia Zwick struck out Kristen Berger and later Stephanie Schreiber to end the threat.

Wagner added a run in the third on Moore's double to put the final at 5-0.

Bryn Gornick (2-11) was handed the loss, scattering five runs on seven hits with four walks and two strikeouts. Zwick allowed five hits to five different players while striking out four.

Lafayette gets back to Patriot League action this weekend, traveling to Colgate for a four-game series. First pitch each day is slated for noon.
