Easton, Pa. - Jamie O'Hare's 15 points led three Leopards in double figures in a 65-49 win over Bloomsburg in Lafayette's final tune-up of the preseason. Emily Homan finished with a double-double, 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Linnel Macklin chipped in 11 points.
Lafayette knocked down nine three-pointers in the game and shot 41.1 percent from the field. Freshman Anna Ptasinski tallied nine points on three triples. Senior Maddie Peabody led the team with a game-high four assists.
A pair of buckets from Homan helped the Leopards to an early 6-3 lead. Three-pointers from Ptasinski and O'Hare pushed the advantage to 15-8. The Leopards ended the first half with seven three-pointers to take a 41-19 lead into the break.
Bloomsburg cut the deficit to 12, 46-34, midway through the second period. A three-pointer from the corner from Annette Snow pushed the Leopards in front 51-34 with eight minutes to play.
After a 5-0 spurt from Bloomsburg, O'Hare knocked down her third triple of the night to push the lead back to 15. Back-to-back buckets from Macklin and Homan at the four minute mark increased the lead to 60-44 and the Leopards went on to win, 65-49.
Lafayette opens the 2014-15 campaign on Friday Nov. 14 against Delaware at 7 p.m.
