Opening Tip

Lafayette looks to build on its positive start to February when Patriot League-leading American comes to Kirby Sports Center for a 2 p.m. tip. The Eagles captured victory in the first meeting between the two sides by erasing a two-point deficit with two minutes to play in a 66-61 final in Washington, D.C.

Lafayette will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday afternoon and honor its two seniors, co-captain Jack Detmer and Les Smith.

Head coach Fran O'Hanlon is one win away from tying the record for most Patriot League victories (126), held by former Bucknell head coach Pat Flannery.

With 13 points against Loyola, Seth Hinrichs became the 39th member of Lafayette's 1,000-point club. Hinrichs was the eighth student-athlete to eclipse 1,000 points during his junior season.

Nick Lindner has a total of seven turnovers in Lafayette's seven victories this season. Lindner is averaging 2.6 turnovers per game on the year.

Since returning to the starting lineup on February 1, Seth Hinrichs is leading Lafayette in scoring (14.0 ppg) and rebounding (7.8 rpg) and the Leopards are 3-1.

Michael Hoffman sent back a career-high four shots in the win over Loyola, the most for any Lafayette player in one game this year.

Lafayette is 15th in the country in three-point shooting percentage at 39.9 percent. Duke is the national leader at 42.0 percent.

Joey Ptasinski and Seth Hinrichs are climbing the all-time list for three-point field goals. Ptasinski is alone in eighth all-time with 158 career threes, while Hinrichs is 12th at 146 treys. Bryce Scott recently cracked the top 25 with 80 career threes.
