EASTON, Pa. - Senior Dan Trist of the Lafayette men's basketball team picked up his first Patriot League Player of the Week honor of the season, the league office announced Monday.

Trist, the leading scorer for the Leopards (10-5, 2-2), posted a pair of 20-plus-point performances in a split week for Lafayette. In the loss at Bucknell on Wednesday, the senior tallied 20 points and five rebounds on 8-of-15 shooting from the floor. Later in the week, Trist dropped in 24 points and ripped down 11 rebounds for his third double-double of the season in a 63-62 win at Boston U. on Saturday.

Leading the Maroon and White in scoring (16.7 ppg) and rebounding (6.5 ppg), the Sydney, Australia native is 26th in scoring all-time at Lafayette, picking up his 1,000th point earlier in the year at Yale and currently sitting at 1,171 career points. Trist ranks third in the Patriot League in scoring, fourth in rebounding, and fifth in overall field-goal percentage (55.1%).

Trist and the Leopards look to continue their winning ways on Wednesday when they host Loyola inside Kirby Sports Center at 7 p.m.
