EASTON, Pa. -- Lafayette has placed five student-athletes on the 2015 All-Patriot League Football Teams. Seniors Dan Dellovade and Matt Smalley garnered All-Patriot League First-Team laurels while junior Matt Rothrock, sophomore Brandon Bryant and freshman Jacob Bissell secured All-Patriot League Second-Team status.

A three-year starter at cornerback, Smalley (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) earns first-team honors for the fourth time in his career. He started the nine games in which he played as a senior, finishing fifth on the team in tackles (44) while adding an interception. For his career, Smalley played in 42 games with 30 starts with seven interceptions and is part of a select group of players to earn varsity letters in every season on College Hill. In 2013 and 2014, he was a first-team selection at defensive back and in 2013 he added first-team honors at return specialist after finishing eighth in the nation in kick return yardage.

Dellovade (Moon, Pa./Moon) made his presence felt on the other side of the ball where the fullback served as a lead blocker and pass protector, but saw limited carries. He was also a key contributor on special teams throughout his career, earning three varsity letters. He played in 29 games at Lafayette with six starts, including four starts his senior season.

Bissell (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) is one of just three freshmen honored with placement on the All-Patriot League Teams, collecting his second-team status as a placekicker. Bissell, who was twice named the Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week in 2015, converted 8-of-14 field-goal attempts, a number which included four kicks that were blocked. His career long was a 47-yarder at Delaware on Sept. 12 when he booted three field goals of 40-plus yards in a driving rain storm. He also became the third player in Lafayette school history to hit four field goals in a game when he did so against Colgate on Nov. 7. In the other kicking areas, he converted 18-of-18 point-after attempts, averaged 62.2 yards per kickoff and managed nine touchbacks.

Bryant (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) led the team and the Patriot League in total tackles with 114 from his MIKE linebacker spot. It's the most tackles in a season for a player since Maurice Bennett had 133 tackles in 12 games in 2005. Bryant currently ranks 23rd in the nation in tackles (10.4 per game) and sixth in solo tackles (6.5 per game). He was the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 14 following a game at Delaware in which he made 18 tackles (9 solo, 9 assists). Bryant was Lafayette's special teams MVP in 2014 when he played in 11 games with one start. This season, he started all 11 games as one of the Leopards' most consistent run stoppers.

Rothrock (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) just completed his second straight season as a starter at defensive tackle in the Leopards' 4-2-5 scheme. He ended with 27 tackles, including four tackles for loss and a forced fumble, numbers similar to his sophomore campaign. To date, he has played in 30 games with 22 career starts for the Maroon and White.
