EASTON, Pa. - Freshman placekicker Jacob Bissell (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) has been named the Patriot League Football Special Teams Player of the Week, coming off a week 10 performance in which he tied the Lafayette school record for field goals in a game.

Bissell made four field goals against Colgate, converting kicks of 22, 40, 38 and 26 yards. The four makes tied a single-game record held by Jim Hodson (1989 and 1990) and Davis Rodriguez (2010).

For the season, Bissell's field-goal numbers do not tell the entire story. He is 8-of-13, but three of the four "misses" were kicks that were blocked. He only missed one kick (a 43-yarder vs. Princeton). Bissell is 7-for-7 on PAT's and has averaged 62.2 yards per kick off with three touchbacks.

It is the second Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week honor for Bissell, who first won the award on Sept. 14 after week two of the season when he made three field goals of 40-plus yards in a driving rainstorm at Delaware.

Lafayette has this week off from game action and next plays Nov. 21 at Lehigh in the 151st meeting of college football's most-played rivalry. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. in a nationally televised game.
