February 9, 2015

EASTON, Pa. - Senior Dan Trist of the Lafayette men's basketball team picked up his third Patriot League Player of the Week honor of the season and second in as many weeks, the league announced Monday.

Trist came up one shy of his career-high on Wednesday in Lafayette's come-from-behind victory over Bucknell in overtime, 84-74. The Sydney, Australia native dropped in 29 points on 12-of-17 shooting from the field and 5-of-6 from the free-throw stripe. He also ripped down 11 rebounds to record his fourth double-double of the season.

Trist has been playing some of the best basketball of his career during Lafayette's three-game winning streak, averaging 25.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per contest during that stretch. The leading scorer in the Patriot League, Trist is averaging 18.3 points per game and 20 points per contest since entering league play.

Trist and the Leopards are back in action Monday evening, hosting Boston U. on CBS Sports Network at 7 p.m.
