Opening Tip

- Lafayette and Boston U. split their season series with each team winning on the road. The winner of Thursday’s quarterfinal game will play either No. 1 Bucknell or No. 8 Holy Cross in the semifinals on Sunday. Lafayette has never lost a Patriot League Tournament game at home, going 8-0 all-time in Easton.

- Senior Dan Trist is having the best year of his career this season. Trist led the Patriot League in scoring in the regular season at 17.7 points per game and was one of two unanimous All-Patriot League First-Team selections when the league’s major awards were announced Monday.

- Lafayette ranks in the top-25 nationally in all three offensive efficiency categories, including holding the 10th spot in the country in three-point field-goal percentage (40.2%). Additionally, the Leopards are 10th in free-throw percentage (76.0%) and 25th in overall field-goal percentage (47.8%).

- Sophomore Nick Lindner has stepped up his offensive game recently. Lindner put together a career-high 30-point performance in a 95-83 loss to Colgate on Feb. 25. An illness kept him out of the Boston U. game on Feb. 9, and since, he has averaged 16.5 points per game, a 6.3-point increase in scoring above his 10.2 average before that date.
