Guminsky to Join Lafayette Football Staff

Jan. 12, 2017

EASTON, Pa. -- Lafayette head football coach John Garrett has tabbed Brett Guminsky to handle operations while also serving as a recruiting assistant and offensive assistant coach.

Guminsky filled similar roles at the University of Richmond in 2016, serving as an offensive and recruiting assistant for the Spiders' offense which propelled the program to the 2016 FCS quarterfinals. Guminsky began his coaching career in the summer of 2015 with the Richmond offense before playing his final season at North Greenville University.

"We're really glad to have Brett be part of the Lafayette Leopard program in football operations and as an offensive/recruiting assistant," said Garrett, the Fred M. Kirby II '42 Head Football Coach. "He was a tremendous asset to our program at Richmond last year as a volunteer offensive assistant and a huge help to me on a daily basis as the offensive coordinator. He has the versatility to help make our program better."

A native of Williamsburg, Va., Guminsky was a quarterback at Becker College in Worcester, Mass. and North Greenville University in Tigerville, S.C. before graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2016 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
